June 21st
I started my training yesterday. Let me tell you something...this homegirl CAN NOT swim! I'm such a bad swimmer, I was doing a backstroke and hit my head on the side of the pool! Dummy!!! While I was swimming, I thought about the first time I got on the pavement and took up running. I am not going to freak out, on this weakness. I am going to work through it and get stronger. I also ran afterwards. There are some things I need to change.
First off...I need a swimsuit. My poor boobies are smaller, so my stupid swimsuit was not fitting well and I had a hard time keeping my straps up. Also, I don't think I am ready to wear shorts while running. Last night I had some running shorts on and well...they crept up and stayed nestled up by my crotch.
I am so excited to move on to a new challenge. Exercising make me happy...<--so generic, I know. I remember when I was working out in college. (I know I had more time back then) But I was working out twice a month and training to become an aerobics instructor. I wasn't super skinny, I was healthy (or maybe I would have been super skinny, if I didn't drink my weight in beer every weekend). I am happy with where I am at in my life. I know I will slowly shed the extra 20lbs by the end of the year. Right now my focus is on training for the tri (on the side, training for two 1/2's). I am not crazy...I promise!! I am not super woman either. This time in my life, I also realized I have to use up every minute. I have found time in the day to work out, clean the house, work, spend time with my family and everything in between. Maybe because I am controlling?? Hmmm....that make a lot of sense.
So, I am done rambling! Wake up, the blog is over!!!
